The baby-care market in Korea is largely dominated by imported brands. However, amid a market saturated with foreign products,
a domestic company is gaining attention for developing homegrown baby bottles tailored specifically to Korean babies, achieving notable commercial success.
Reporter Lee Bo-kyung has the story.

“As my baby started solid foods, I became more interested in water bottles, and many moms around me recommended Grosmimi.”

“Carrying multiple baby bottles when going out was inconvenient, so I tried Grosmimi’s disposable baby bottle. I
t worked so well that I’m now planning to use their straw cup as well.”
The most notable feature of Grosmimi products is the soft, flexible straw, which allows babies to bite and suck comfortably without irritation.
In addition, the design ensures that liquid does not leak even when the bottle is turned upside down, preventing clothes from getting wet.
By regulating the amount of air that enters during feeding, the bottle also helps reduce colic in newborns, a key concern for parents.
GoGreenLife, the company behind Grosmimi, first entered the baby bottle business in 2008, initially distributing overseas brands.
However, after realizing that many imported products were not well-suited to Korean babies, the company decided to develop its own products.

“When we first distributed imported products and reviewed customer feedback, we found that they didn’t fit the body structure of Korean babies.
That’s when we decided to develop products specifically designed for Korean children.”GoGreenLife currently holds the No.1 position in Korea’s straw cup market.
After starting with annual sales of approximately KRW 1.3 billion, the company experienced rapid growth and is expected to reach KRW 6 billion in sales this year.
Since last year, the company has also expanded into overseas markets with positive results.

“We entered overseas markets starting last year, including Hong Kong, Taiwan, China, and Japan.
Japan, in particular, is a very competitive baby-care market, and we have already confirmed exports of our straw kits there.”
As a domestic brand achieving strong results with competitive, locally optimized baby-feeding products in a market dominated by imports,
GoGreenLife’s future growth trajectory is drawing increasing attention.
